Black Ribbon is a speculative magazine that bridges the worlds of maintstream and indie/auteur cinema, treating its subject like a noble and poetic visual art above all.

Lucas Voilquin and I had to come up with the art direction of the magazine. I designed the logo as well as the front and back covers and we shared the choice of the fonts and the page-layout. We decided for the magazine to have an horizontal format as a knudge to the screen, but a vertical front cover to assure maximum visibility when sold in a kiosk.
